Pranic Healing, also referred to as Sanación Pránica, is a form of energy healing that utilises “prana” (life force energy) to balance, harmonise, and transform the body’s energy fields, known as chakras and aura. These energy fields are considered blueprints or matrices surrounding and permeating the physical body. This technique focuses on the harmonisation and balancing of these energy fields.
The Pranic Healing procedure:
1. Preparation and Initial Interview
2. Energy Scanning
3. Cleansing or Sweeping
4. Energysing
5. Stabilisation
6. Sealing
7. Disposal of Used Energy
8. Advice and Aftercare
9. Follow-up Sessions
Theory behing Pranic Healing
- Life Force Energy (Prana): In Pranic Healing, the body is believed to have the capacity to heal itself. To do so, it requires an ample supply of life force energy, termed “prana” in Sanskrit, absorbed by the body from the air, sun, and earth.
- Energy Imbalances: Illnesses, be they physical or mental, are viewed as manifestations of imbalances or disruptions in the natural flow of prana through the body. These imbalances can be triggered by emotional, mental, physical, or spiritual factors.
- Cleansing and Energising: Instead of relying on medicines or physical interventions, Pranic Healing involves two main processes: cleansing, which is the removal of sick energy from the system, and energising, supplying the body with fresh and vital prana.
- Chakras: These are energy vortexes in the energy body that act as receivers and transmitters of prana. In Pranic Healing, they are given special attention, as their proper functioning is crucial for the overall health of an individual.
Connecting Pranic Healing with Quantum Energy
Quantum physics deals with phenomena at the most fundamental and minute level of matter: the atomic and subatomic particle level. The relationship between pranic healing and quantum physics is often explored regarding how energy and consciousness interact at this subatomic level.
1. Quantum Field: Everything in the universe is thought to be interconnected through a quantum field. Some theorise that this field is the source of prana or life force energy.
2. Observer and Reality: Quantum physics suggests the consciousness of an observer can influence reality. In terms of healing, this could be interpreted as a healer’s ability to influence a patient’s health state through intention and consciousness.
3. Energy and Matter: In quantum physics, energy and matter are interchangeable. This idea supports the concept that imbalances in the energy (or subtle) body can eventually manifest as ailments in the physical body.

Though there are conceptual similarities between pranic healing and the ideas of quantum physics, it’s crucial to understand that science hasn’t yet established a direct, proven link between the two. Pranic Healing, like many holistic practices, is best understood from an integrative perspective, considering both the physical and non-physical dimensions of a human being.
